Well things are a bit slow on the fishing and diving at the moment, weather hasnt been my best friend lately.
If it isnt the weather is caused by the weather early in the week causing dirty water, especially when the wind has been from the east.
Went for a dive today at Rocky Cape, weather was warm and calm. There were boats everywhere and a few hooka divers.
The site was just a reef we had seen on the sounder and thought we might have a look.
There was the usual fish to be seen and i didnt find the dive very exciting.
I took a couple of pictures but had left my macro lenses at home and didnt end up with any decent pics to post.
Well we headed out today in the hope of a mako. Sisters Beach was to be our location, it was a late start and we didnt start the burley untill 10 am.
The day was warm with easterly wind, We put out a squid jig and a bottom rig then set up the two shark rods.
That was about it for the day as we only caught a gurnard and a couple of squid, there was no Mako to be seen.
The most exciting part of todays trip was a seal showing off at the back of the boat just before we left
As with Diving as soon as i get out again i will start my blogging.
Upto now we have had two trips out chasing the Makos without any luck, there has been a few caught in the area so we know they are there.
Getting some suitable weather is a problem these days.
When i get another dive in i shall keep a log here.
